Much About Mucha

Alphonse Mucha was a Czech Art Nouveau painter. Most of his pieces depict women who have it all-power, beauty and confidence.  What I love most about his work is, no matter the shape or shade Mucha's ladies were always the embodiment of poise and elegance.

Look of the Day: Flower Power

One of the things I love about being a stylist is when a model relaxes enough to break out of her shell and reveal her true self. This look is a perfect example of that. Sarah was so comfortable and confident in this outfit that she was brave enough to reveal her inner treehugger, peace lover and flower child.

Alberto Vargas: Prince of the Pin-up

One of my all-time favorite artists is Alberto Vargas. Not only was he a masterful painter and an award-winning airbrush artist, he was a visionary. He became famous in the 1940's for creating World Ward II era pin-ups for Esquire Magazine known as "Vargas Girls". His career was revived in the 1960's by Playboy magazine. His influence on me can be seen in my work as a stylist and blogger. Below are some of my favorite Vargas Girls. Who is one of your favorite artist? Which is your favorite Vargas Girl?

Just Beachy

Today I had the day off and was able to spend some time at the beach with my bestie. It was my first time at beach this season and although it was a bit foggy, it was worth the drive. As usual, I was up until the wee hours of the morning working. Here are a few beachy images that inspire me. Photos from my day coming soon!

Look of the Day: Dark Knight

I've been so busy lately that I created a super heroine alter ego. Hey, it worked for Beyoncé! My alter egos name is Dark Knight, because that's the only time I have the energy/attention span to prevent crimes of fashion by creating inspiring blog content. In lieu of a cape and mask Dark Knight dons harem pants and a crop top for a fun and funky day look.
