With all the buzz around the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Collection, Euro retailer H & M had to pick and buzzworthy designer for their next designer collaboration and they are right on target with Isabel Marant. The French designer stays true to for her boho chic sensibilities mixing ethnic prints with leather, heavy knits, fringe and bouclé in both the women's and menswear collections.

 

While Marant's RTW items are coveted by celebrities like Reese, Giselle and Halle, supermodels Alek Wek, Lou Doillon, Milla Jovovich and Constance Jablonski are the familiar faces of the lookbook. The collection hits the shelves November 14th, will you be shopping it?

Decked Out In Deco: Louis Vuitton F/W 2013 Jewelry Collection

Inspired by the art deco movement of the 1930's, the Louis Vuitton F/W 2013 Jewelry Collection is bold but understated. Romanian model Andreea Diaconu has a subtle "don't f@*! with me" edge in this laid-back luxe campaign. Charm, Bib and Collar necklaces make a statement while leather and tortoise shell are key materials.

3.1 Phillip Lim x Target: Lookbook, Prices and Top Picks

Who doesn't love a good Target collaboration? A few of my favorites include Libertine, Missoni, Neiman Marcus and Prabal Gurung. The highly anticipated 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target  is due to hit stores nationwide September 15th. Although accessories have already started to trickle into a store in Duluth Georgia as reported by Racked. 

According to Lim: "One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire-one that is cool and chic, but still very accessible" The collection includes women's, menswear and accessories with prices ranging from $19.99 to $299.99 for apparel and $19.99 to $59.99 for accessories.

D.I.Y: Biker Boots

One of my favorite Fall 2013 trends is Grunge/Punk. It brings me back to the 90's, queue the Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Yesterday I found this great DIY from WhoWhatWear and just had to share! Read on for the easy step-by-step instructions and basic biker boots at every price point.

The Project 

Tools: Super Glue ($1), Pliers ($3), Scissors ($4)

Ingredients: Lace ($6/yard), Thin Chain ($3), Chunky Chain ($3), 

Embroidery Floss ($1), Studs ($4 for 25), Nautical Buttons ($2 each), Charms ($2), 

White Pearls ($1 each), Gray Pearls ($2 each), Faux Leather ($6/yard),  Adhesive Velcro ($2)

                                     Step One: Glue approximately ten studs to the toe of each boot.

Step Two: Cut out two rectangles of faux leather, each one approximately 5-inches long by 3.5-inches wide.

Step Three: It’s time to make the knot clusters! Using the thin chains, simply tie the two strands together to form a knot. Keep going until the chain strands are completely knotted. Using super glue, glue the chain clusters to the faux leather rectangle.

Tip: Leave bits of chain hanging off to create a purposefully undone look.

Step Four: Fill in the gaps where you can still see the faux leather by gluing on small braided bits of embroidery floss, small bits of lace, buttons, charms, chunky chain, and pearls.

Tips: Don’t be afraid to pile it on for a more dimensional look. Pull apart the embroidery floss and the lace for a frayed, grunge feel. 

Step Five: Attach two strips of adhesive Velcro to the back of the leather rectangle along the right and left edges. Peel off the backing and attach the embellished leather rectangle to the boot. 

Final Product: Embrace the ‘90s feel by pairing your newly embellished boots with a simple black dress and a plaid flannel tied around the waist.
