Alberto Vargas: Prince of the Pin-up
One of my all-time favorite artists is Alberto Vargas. Not only was he a masterful painter and an award-winning airbrush artist, he was a visionary. He became famous in the 1940's for creating World Ward II era pin-ups for Esquire Magazine known as "Vargas Girls". His career was revived in the 1960's by Playboy magazine. His influence on me can be seen in my work as a stylist and blogger. Below are some of my favorite Vargas Girls. Who is one of your favorite artist? Which is your favorite Vargas Girl?
